Are the RiverLoire tours in English?

Yes. All of the group tours organised by RiverLoire are guided in English. We also guide in French, Italien, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanase and Mandarin. For other languages, please contact us

Do you organize tours only for individuals ?

No. We also organize tours for groups and for Corporations.

However, River Loire's core business is the luxury break for individuals, and we aim for the perfection whether we organize a week end for 2 guests or an incentive event for 120 people.

This is very much our philosophy, as we believe this is the best way to guarantee quality and your personal satisfaction.

What is included in the tour price?

Almost everything! Our promise is that you should not need to reach into your pocket once you have arrived. All breakfasts, lunches (except for our Self Guided Break ) and dinners are included.

All dinners are served with some of the best wines of the Loire Valley , selected by the sommelier.

Also included in our tour prices are all activity and excursion fees and tickets (as outlined in each escape itinerary), as well as transportation costs throughout the entire length of your stay .

What is excluded in the tour price?

Return travel fares to and from the meeting destination and any personal expenses or hotel incidentals.

Is my money secure with RiverLoire?

Yes. RiverLoire is completely licensed and insured. Our Insurance Company guarantees your deposit and ensures that your tour will go ahead, regardless of any default on the part of your service provider.

Do you offer self-guided tours?

Yes. At RiverLoire we offer fully guided ‘Accompanied Break' and ‘Self Guided Break' .

What kind of transportation is used for the tours?

With our Accompanied Break' , you will be transported in first class luxury. With our ‘‘Self Guided Break' you will be provided with a top of the range rental car.

How many hotel changes are necessary during any given tour?

None, as we have only selected accommodation conveniently located between tour activities and excursions.

Is free time allocated in each tour?

Yes. Our tours include free time when you can explore the local markets, art galleries, boutiques and cafes at your own leisure. You will have time in the afternoons to relax at your hotel, giving you personal freedom to enjoy the fantastic facilities, have a drink and absorb the ambiance of the lovely surroundings.

How have you selected the hotels used in your tours?

At RiverLoire, we have not only made a selection of hotels but also a selection of rooms in each hotel. This will make all the difference to your stay!

As we believe in providing you with the finest quality of service, we have only selected the most charming 4 star hotels (the highest hotel rating possible in France) and likewise for Bed & Breakfasts. We have personally visited each bedroom to select only the finest. This is a priviledge reserved, by our partners, specifically for you.

Due to the royal history of the Loire Valley and the abundance of magnificent castles, you will stay in a chateau hotel, a manor house, or a Relais&Chateaux.

How have you selected the restaurants ? Will I order 'a la carte' or are there set menus for each meal?

Exquisite gastronomy and restaurants are one of the highlights of our tours.

We have selected the finest that the Loire has to offer. Our choices will allow you to taste something different with each meal and have a complete experience of the regions' cuisine.

The chefs are proud of their art and endeavour to serve our discerning guests with the best. You will not be given a set menu, rather you will have the freedom to order from a variety of choices. The sommelier will propose a selection of the regions' finest wines that will best compliment your dish.

What must I do to make a tour reservation?

Yes. RiverLoire accepts all reservations made through licensed travel agents. Please arrange for him to contact us.

Where do your tours start and finish? How do I get to the starting place?

All of our RiverLoire tours start and finish at a scheduled meeting place in the city of Tours; specifically Tours Airport or St Pierre des Corps Rail Station. This allows flexibility if you have other travel plans in France or Europe before or after our tour.

If you wish to arrange a special pick-up from the centre of Paris or one of the Paris airports, please contact us and we will organise this for you.

When is the best time of year to take one of your tours?

RiverLoire tours are organised throughout the entire year, except January, and are designed specially for each seasonal period. The temperate climate of the Loire Valley provides pleasant seasons which display their own enchantment. Castles blanketed in white snow during winter is a truly magical sight!

Do you offer any incentives for Private Tour Organizers or Group Leaders?

Yes. If your party size exceeds 4 adults, you, as the Group Leader, will receive a discounted price. Furthermore, if your party is more than 12 people, RiverLoire will offer you a FREE tour. For more details please contact us.

Can I pay for my tour on your site without any risk?

Yes. RiverLoire offers a completely secure website for making payments via the Internet. We are partners with HSBC, so you can be confident in our secure solution. We do not file any banking details and the all payment transactions are protected.

I prefer to pay by cheque. Is it possible ?
