Your Hosts

Karine and Thierry Micalet will be your hosts while you are here. Both of us have plenty of travel experience from around the world, and we are very interested in different cultures.

When we returned to our native region, the Loire Valley, after spending four years in London, we established RiverLoire, a company that provides authentic luxury tours specifically for foreigners. We realised there were no such options available to our friends from abroad.

We decided to develop RiverLoire on the following principles :

• We select only the finest accommodation , castles, wine producers and activity providers to ensure that you receive the highest level of service and hospitality.

• We wish for you to discover the authenticity of the Loire in a way inaccessible to many other visitors. For example we arrange visits to private castles or wine tasting with our own oenologue.

• Touraine is so rich in history that you won't be able to cover everything. Our escapes are designed to maximise your time so that you experience only the best.

• We know the importance of escaping the rush of city life in order to relax and be rejuvenated. Our escapes aim for you to return refreshed and invigorated having discovered the charm of the Loire Valley.
