How to get to the Loire Valley |
1 - By air : Direct flights to the heart of the Loire ValleyTours International Airport is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Ryanair runs regular flights from and to London/Stansted and Dublin Airport.
Tours / London Stanted and return:Between October and March Ryanair flies 2 days per week, and 4 to 5 days a week during the rest of the year. From 19th December to 27th March 2010, Ryanair runs regular flights (Tuesday and Saturday) as follow: - Tuesday departing London at 8.00 am to arrive in Tours at 10.20 am - Tuesday departing Tours at 10.45 am to arrive in London at 11.05 am - Saturday departing London at 3.50 pm to arrive in Tours at 6.10 pm - Saturday departing Tours at 6.35 pm to arrive in London at 6.55 pm Time schedules for the rest of the year 2010 are actually changing from month to month from 4 to 5 flights a week. Please refer to RYANAIR for schedules. Tours / Dublin and return:From 29th March to 28th October 2010, Ryanair runs regular flights (Monday and Thursday) as follow: - Monday departing Dublin at 9.20 am to arrive in Tours at 11.50 am - Monday departing Tours at 12.15 pm to arrive in Dublin at 1.00 pm - Thursday departing Dublin at 11.10 am to arrive in Tours at 1.40 pm - Thursday departing Tours at 2.05 pm to arrive in Dublin at 2.50 pm All times are local to departure / destination airports. 2 - By air : Through Paris CDG AiportThe Loire Valley's TGV rail station, Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, is 1h40 from Paris- Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport, with a direct train departing from the airport terminal T2(2 to 5 minutes walking distance between the arrival gate and the train's terminal). 3 - By train: From central Paris in less than 1h00 by high speed train (TGV)Tours' TGV rail station, St Pierre Des Corps, runs 16 return trips each day, taking you from Montparnasse Paris to the Loire Valley in less than 1hr. This provides a superb opportunity for you to travel by train from another city in Europe .
